I had just arrived in the US coming from Brazil transferred by the company I work for and I didn't have a credit score or any other credit history, the only thing I had was a support letter issued by my employer. At first I was skeptical on starting contact for the house Harland was the listing broker because it was an excellent option, the perfect house at the perfect location for me and I had already been applied for two lease contracts and denied on both. However I've contacted him anyways, we've met at the house location and this was when everything has changed. For nearly 3 decades I have been working with Harland Stine from Residential Virtual Realty. It all started when I began searching for a house in Arlington, VA in 1994. Harley quickly learned about my preferences and showed me places that met my requirements. He was extremely patient with me. The house I purchased was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have enjoyed living in the house in Clarendon ever since. The whole process of buying the house was efficient and thorough. I went away to New Mexico for 3 years (2001-2004) and I engaged Residential Virtual Realty to lease and manage my house while away. Harley found me the perfect renters. He came by the house periodically, informed me of anything that needed fixing, and took care of it. I went away again to Belgium (2015-2018) and I didn’t hesitate a minute to ask Harley to manage my house. He was terrific at suggesting improvement to get the house in shape so that I would get a rental on par with similar houses in the neighborhood. Thanks to his advice, the investment I made paid off in the first 3 months of rent. Once again, he found the perfect renters. Before returning back to the area we decided to convert the old oil furnace into a gas one and relied on Harley to manage the contract to do this. Also we changed the roof, the siding and painted the house. Once again Residential Virtual Realty managed all the contract work needed. When we returned to Virginia, it was a pleasure moving back into a house that was painted, had a new roof, a new furnace and new siding. The best thing, it was all done right.
