I cannot say enough about how great Claire and everyone at Paris Group Realty were in helping me find the home of my dreams. Everyone I met at Paris Group was friendly, patient, and incredibly kind. They were responsive to the point that it felt like I was their only client, even though I know they were super busy. Client actually feels like the wrong word to describe my relationship with this team. Looking at houses with Claire felt more like looking at a place with a good friend more so than a realtor. Her advice and insight always felt like it was coming from a place of what was best for me, not what could get me to buy whatever property we were looking at. Claire became so familiar with my taste, she could often predict within a few minutes of entering a property what my reaction would be, and never once pushed me to move forward with a property I wasn't comfortable with. When some issues were identified with my dream property, Claire and the team at Paris Group snapped into action and quickly found me inspectors and contractors to help me assess what it would take to fix the issue, and then worked with the sellers to make it right. As someone new to the Portland area, Claire's amazing network of contacts made the entire process amazingly smooth from start to finish. If and when I am ever in the market to purchase a new home, Claire will be my first call, without a doubt. But I suspect she will already know since I get the sense that with Claire and everyone at Paris Group, the purchase of a home with them is just the beginning of the relationship, not the end. I toured this home in September 2025 after seeing four previous pending sales fall through earlier in the year. I contacted the listing agent, Claire Paris, hopeful that this would finally be our chance to buy a home and start a new chapter for our family. I submitted an offer in the first week of November with the plan to close in early December so we could be settled before the holidays. Instead, the process quickly became a series of missed deadlines, unfinished repairs, and poor communication. Each delay came with little explanation and no clear plan to fix the issues. Closing was pushed back multiple times, eventually landing on December 22nd. During that entire period, I had completed every buyer requirement weeks in advance — financing secured, funds in escrow, utilities arranged — while repairs and contracted work remained incomplete. My realtor had to step in repeatedly just to get responses or movement. Because of these delays, I was forced to move over Christmas with my toddler. Christmas Eve was spent carrying boxes, trying to make the house livable, and rushing to set up a tree so my child could still have some sense of normalcy and joy. What should have been a happy milestone became stressful, exhausting, and heartbreaking. Once we moved in, the reality of the situation became even harder to ignore. Issues that were supposed to be resolved before closing were still present, including exposed wiring under the kitchen sink, no power to the shop as specified, missing baseboards, and other unfinished work throughout the home. Instead of enjoying our first Christmas in our new house, we were dealing with problems that should have been addressed long before move-in day. As a first-time homebuyer, this experience was deeply discouraging. Buying a home is supposed to be exciting — especially when you’re doing it for your family — but this process took away moments we will never get back. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this agent to buyers or sellers who value communication, accountability, and care during such an important life event.
