Paul Sliwka is the best real estate broker in the D.C. metro area, Maryland and Virginia included. My husband and I have been Paul’s clients for the past 7 years. Paul helped us purchase our first home in 2010, sell that home last year in 2015, and purchase our second (and forever) in 2015. In fact, Paul sold our first home at record speed at an exceedingly great price, and he helped us purchase our second home at an extremely aggressive price. Paul is thoroughly knowledgeable about the real estate market in the DC metro area – neighborhood by neighborhood – and also knows building construction issues very well. He was able to assess the structural integrity of each home we visited to determine whether it was a worthwhile investment or a “money pit.” It’s also worth noting that Paul is extremely patient. His commission was never a priority. He was only concerned about finding us the perfect home at the right price, even if that meant showing us many many properties. And we never felt pressured to buy; Paul took the time to educate us about prospective homes, neighborhoods, and eventual appreciation of property values so we could have maximum knowledge before purchasing a home. Sharon Jarrott at Central Properties is a phenomenal real estate agent who really knows how to price and present a home to get it to sell for top dollar in the VA/DC/MD area. She has listed properties for me twice and both have been remarkable successes – first in Falls Church, VA in 2014 and recently (2022) in the Tenleytown neighborhood of DC. In both cases, we had offers significantly over list price within a short period of time. With the DC sale, we had been concerned with the recent softening of the housing market. Sharon’s strategy for staging the house and the research and care with which she went about determining a list price resulted in multiple offers within days of listing. Sharon is also great as a buyer’s agent. She helped me find and secure a contract on the DC property when I originally purchased it (during a very difficult seller’s market). She knows the area, has many contacts in the real estate industry, and certainly had a good eye for properties that would have excellent resale potential. Finally, in addition to being such a good person to have on your side from a business perspective, Sharon is really just a super kind and generous person. She takes a personal interest in her clients and will make the process of buying and/or selling your home friendly and fun. I have recommended her to friends who are looking for a real estate agent, and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Paul Sliwka and Central Properties have managed our properties over the past three years with excellence and professionalism while we have been abroad. Nothing has been left to chance and we have always been fully informed of any repairs or queries as soon as they happen. In fact Paul managed our condo to be ready for rent for a new tenant by organizing all above par contractors for painting, windows, plumbing etc., and even overseeing the purchase of new appliances so all would be ready for the tenants to move in. Finally...SUCCESS! Paul Sliwka is a gem of a person and a fabulous facilitator of realizing one's dream! Notice that I did not simply refer to Paul as an "agent" - because he is much more than that... My Mom, recently retired out of the District and into new waterfront digs. She had a nightmare experience trying to rent her NW DC condo and after almost a year of carrying two monthly housing payments, decided that selling would better suit her needs. Paul drove the 120 miles rt to Moms house to meet with her. She talked. He listened AND HEARD(!!!) her concerns/hopes/dreams/fears.
