Selden has been a good friend since we were in college together about 20 years ago. We've been looking to buy a house on/off since 2020 and we finally closed last week. My wife and I found out we were expecting our first child this year and decided we needed a bigger space. As first time buyers we came in pretty clueless of what to look for, neighborhoods, and how to find the right home for us. We were referred to Selden by a family member. From the first conversation with him we could tell that he genuinely cared about our search for the right home. He took the time to listen to our must haves and asked the right questions to prompt us to consider other factors we would’ve never thought about. He took the time to tour several dozen homes and was always happy to make sure if we were interested in a house, we could see it within the next day or two. When it came time to put an offer in, he helped figure out the right offer price based on others in the area. We were a bit daunted by the survey process and he helped us decipher what to ask for concessions on, what to ask to be fixed prior to closing, and what we could fix ourselves/hire someone to come fix post close. He arranged all inspections and scheduled everything from start to finish. The process could not have been easier and we owe that to Selden’s diligent follow up and making himself available at all times. Whether it’s your first time buying like us, or you’re selling and moving I can’t think of a better person than Selden to guide you through the process.
