As a first-time homebuyer, I was very nervous about the process, wasn’t sure who I could trust, and naively believed that if I had educated myself thoroughly, I could handle the entire purchase process myself. One day, my girlfriend and I were driving around Winston-Salem, saw a house we were interested in, and called the listing agent on the sign. Christine returned our call within 15 minutes and I’m glad see did! Christine was very educated about the process and everything she told me prior to signing commitments is exactly what I saw in the agreements. She was also a great listener who didn’t show us a single house that did not meet our specifications and did not pressure me into making any decisions I was uncomfortable with. For example, the first home I entered diligence in had some concerning waterproofing work and masking going on in the garage. Christine did not pressure me into buying the house just to complete the transaction. In fact, I ultimately walked away from this first house and found a comparable house for $50k less, with no signs of damage. We love our new house and I estimate I probably saved about $75-100k in the long-run. I can’t say enough about Christine’s professionalism and knowledge within the industry and of Winston-Salem itself; she got me very interested in the neighborhood I was moving into! Christine has many contacts for things such as inspections and landscaping, all of which were knowledgeable, reliable, and charged a fair price.
